The Mercy Of Protection

Dear brothers and sisters, and those prospectively considering becoming a part of the family of God Through our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

You have to become a student of both the Old Testament and the New Testament. In doing this you will get a picture of God’s protecting power today. Jesus operated in the protection under the Old Testament. You can see him in several instances like Elijah, being moved around and shielded from death before his time. You have to understand that he walked in the earth as a man, fulfilling the Law. He walked on it blameless, thus could stop death, walk on the sea, protect his disciples, giving them his same ability. Then once again, not be touched by a man until his time was fulfilled. He said ,”no man takes my life, I lay it down, I have the authority to lay it down, and the authority to take it up again.” John 10:18

Remember the words of the Apostle Paul , “to live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor, yet what I choose, I do not know. I am torn between two. I desire to depart a be with Christ which is far better. But it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.” Philippians 1:22-24 Who made the decision to remain in the earth? Paul did, no one pushed him out of his work, until he was tired and ready to leave. Acts 21:13

Jesus did these things so that you and I could come under the covenants of promise. So go back a see how God utterly shielded them of the old, and realize that we have a better covenant established on better promises. Hebrews 8:6
